Card Design No. 1

Hey. So I am back again. This month's card design is one of my favourites. I apologise for the non-corresponding of pictures.
Materials needed:
-Scissors
-Pencil
-Construction Paper
-Penknife
-Patterned Paper/Scrapbooking paper
-Ruler
-Markers

Step 1: There is this website called Martha Stewart and it has got a year of paper flower cut-outs. The link is: http://www.marthastewart.com/274231/a-year-of-paper-cutout-cards#989718 You can choose which cut-out you like best and download the template of the flower. After printing it out, cut the flower shape out.

Step 2:Now, take a piece of construction paper and fold it into half. This will be your card. Take the flower cut-out and trace it on the cover of the card. After doing so, open the card out again and use a penknife to cut out the flower shape.
(Sorry, I don't have a picture of  the card itself after the flower shape is being cut)

Step 3: You choose two different colours of another construction paper. Try to make these colours complement the colour of the card. Face them vertically and use your ruler to mark out every 3cm.( So, the length of every strip is about 3cm by about 14.8cm.) I suggest that you have 3 strips of Colour 1 and 4 strips of colour 2.

Step 4: After cutting them, paste them in alternate order on to the second page of the card.

Step 5: Draw small block letters on the patterned paper/scrapbooking paper. Cut them out and paste them on the front cover of the card.Use black marker to outline the letters.

You are done with the card!
Here's a picture so that you can see if you did it correctly. :D

I hope you have enjoyed reading this post. And that you would try your hands on making this card. :D
Look forward to a new design next month!
